TBT to Participate in Japan’s Counter-Terrorism Exhibition “SEECAT 2026” and Showcase Its Anti-Drone System

TBT Co., Ltd., a specialist in thermal imaging cameras and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems, will participate in SEECAT 2026, a counter-terrorism and security exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan, where the company will showcase its anti-drone system and expand its presence in the global security market.

SEECAT 2026 will be held from September 30 to October 2, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight South Hall. The official name of the event is SEECAT (Special Equipment Exhibition & Conference for Anti-Terrorism) ’26, and the organizer introduces the exhibition as Japan’s only specialized exhibition dedicated to counter-terrorism. Marking its 20th edition, the event will operate as a closed business exhibition with strict visitor screening procedures.

At the exhibition, TBT plans to present its anti-drone system, focusing on drone detection and countermeasure technologies. TBT specializes in the development and production of electro-optical precision control systems optimized for defense and commercial applications. Its product portfolio includes gyro-stabilized domes, turret-mounted electro-optical systems, LWIR and MWIR thermal imaging camera applications, and long-, medium-, and short-range surveillance camera systems.

In particular, TBT’s drone detection solution is designed to detect unauthorized drones at short, medium, and long ranges based on the precision tracking performance of its EO/IR cameras. The company explains that its systemized solution, integrated with software and EMP-related technologies, enables the detection, tracking, and neutralization of unauthorized drones.

SEECAT is a specialized exhibition that provides efficient business matching opportunities for public safety officials, including police, fire departments, and Japan Self-Defense Forces, as well as crisis management personnel responsible for critical infrastructure such as energy networks, transportation infrastructure, and large commercial facilities. Exhibited categories include robots and drones, port and maritime security, aerospace surveillance, detection, inspection and analysis, monitoring and alarm systems, EMP countermeasures, and advanced dual-use technologies.

TBT’s participation is drawing attention as the importance of drone detection and countermeasure technologies continues to grow amid increasing threats from unauthorized drones targeting airports, critical facilities, military sites, and public infrastructure. TBT provides surveillance solutions combining thermal imaging cameras, laser rangefinders, lasers, IR LEDs, multi-sensor systems, and software. The company has built strong technological competitiveness in defense and security fields requiring 24-hour day-and-night surveillance and reliable performance in adverse weather conditions.

A TBT representative stated, “SEECAT is a specialized business exhibition where we can directly meet end users in the fields of counter-terrorism, public safety, and critical infrastructure security. Through our participation, we aim to actively introduce TBT’s anti-drone system and EO/IR-based surveillance technologies to the Japanese and global security markets.”

Through its participation in SEECAT 2026, TBT plans to expand partnerships in overseas public safety, defense, and critical infrastructure security markets, including Japan, while strengthening its global competitiveness in the fields of anti-drone and electro-optical surveillance systems.
